Riley

Mom's bestest girlfriend is named Bonnie. She has a little girl named Riley. I loves Riley. Bonnie had to go out of town for work and Riley's daddy had to work at the vineyard, same as our daddy. So Riley got to spend the day with our mom. Did I mention I loves Riley?

Hey Riley, ya think I might get a little sip of that?

I guess that's a no...

Eh, can't blame a pug for tryin'.

Oh my aching back!

Our little piglet has gained 5lbs since she graced us with her presence on Dec. 12th.  Betty is now approaching 30lbs of chub and love. She adores being carried around and lifted up into the car and onto the bed along with Stella and Gunther. And now my back doth protest... big time!!  I know, I know. More legs, less back.

Mommy, come over here and lift me the rest of the way into the bed...

Pull my finger... pppphhhfrrrttt.

A face made for kissing and snuggling.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and waiting on their furbabies hand and foot!

What'd we get?!

Gunther, I'm pretty sure Yoda and Brutus sent something besides newspaper...

Eh, he's a simple man with simple needs.

Hmmm, what's this? Obviously more than just newspaper. Looks promising.

Oh crimeny, really? I'm sure Yoda and Brutus didn't intend for their pressie to wind up playing horsie. I'm a puglet, not a jackass.

Sorry Yoda and Brutus, but I'm gonna have to have a few words for Gumby. This might get ugly. Uno momento...

bleep, bleep, bleep...

Yo buddy, you okay? Poor Gumby, he didn't stand a chance.

Thanks for our new toy Yoda and Brutus! We've already had a lot of fun tossing Gumby around the yard and even had a great game of tug-o-war with him! Oh, and Gunther thanks you for his newspaper too. bol!

Lot's of smushface love to all our friends,

Stella's post birthday recap.

Thanks for all the sweet birthday wishes!

We started my birthday with a trip to Bark Park to play with our friend Mr. Wilson. He finally had his nuggets removed, so after a week of recuperating, he was happy to get outta the house.

Is that Mr. Wilson over there? Hmm, somethin' is missing..

Wadda mean I'm an old lady now? You better run Mr. Wilson because I'm gonna kick your BLEEP!

Look at Betty over there kissing up to mom as usual, let's go get her!

If ya know what's good for ya Mr. Wilson you'll leave me and my tennis ball alone.

After some playin' at Bark Park, it was off to Petsmart for some shopping.

Where's Stella?!

Oh, sorry Stella girl. Didn't see ya back there.

What the...? What kind of store is this?!

We loaded up on toys and treats for Stella's birthday. Gunther and Betty got to pick out a toy also. Betty found something she found irresistible. And the best part about it is that it won't roll under the couch!

Betty will be trying out for the cheer leading squad.

We might need to find her a smaller pom pom.

Pug hugs and kisses to all my friends!

Stella is 4 years old today!

Happy Birthday to our baby girl, Stella.

Four years ago today our girl was born. When she turned 3 months old, her dad and I drove from California to Utah to pick her up and bring her home.

Isn't she sassy, even at 3 months old?...

Blow on her head ever so lightly and this is the look you get. If you don't move quick enough, you get your nose bit.

This is when Stella still had her neck. It got lost somewhere between 2-3 years old.

Stella's favorite purple people eater chair. Don't even think of sitting in it. Not that we can, one of the springs is broken so if you lean back, you'll go ass backwards, it's not pretty. We've kept the damn thing for her highness.

She loves a day at the beach. Although she's not much of a swimmer.

Stella working the camera on our camping trip in the Coastal Redwoods.

The princess does a lot of napping these days.

Happy Birthday Stella!

We love you,
Mom and Dad

Ugh! Can't take the rain anymore..

Friends, I know a lot of you are living in snow up to your armpits. But around here we're just not used to being cooped up in the house days on end because of the weather.

Mom has done her best to keep us entertained, but as you can see at the end of this little clip, Gunther thinks he needs to take matters into his own...paws.

The natives are getting restless and not playing nice. Gunther wouldn't share his balls with anyone.

Fortunately there's some sun on the horizon, so we can shake this funk and get outta the house!

Pug hugs and kisses,
Stella

It's all under control

Since mom works at home, she's kinda the Mrs. Kravitz of the neighborhood. Mostly she calls the Coast Guard if some poor sap can't get back to the dock in their kayak or rounds up the neighbors dogs that sneak out of their yard. Boring stuff.

But yesterday, while sitting at the command center she couldn't help but notice our neighbors tree was being blown onto the power lines. (We're having some nasty weather here) It was hard not to notice since the lines were arching and sparking all over the place. The scary thing is it wouldn't stop arching and we were all getting really spooked! So she asked me what we should do and of course I said, call for helps mom!!

Don't worry mom, you go back to work and I'll keep an eye on things.

I was busy! But mom didn't seem to mind having the fireman parked in front of the house all day....

Waterlogged Wednesday

This is our new friend 'Violet'.  She came from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles. A breeder dumped her there after Violet was no longer needed for breeding. Mom found her last week for our friend and neighbor who was looking for a little dog for her 5 year old daughter.
Violet is only 4 years old and full of life and has lot's of love to give! She get's a little snarky when the 3 of us start wrestling and makin' too much noise so play dates are kept to a minimum. And bark park isn't really her favorite place either. We nicknamed her 'The Sarg'  We figure she put in lot's of time raising puppies, so now she just wants to be spoiled and pampered as only a princess should be.

Rain Rain Go Away!

We don't like to pee pee or poo poo outside when it's raining. Anybody else feel the same way we do? Raise your paws!

Where did all our sunshine go?

If any of you have seen our sunshine, send it back, will ya?!!

Soggy snorts,

Oh, didn't see you standing there...

We'd be in a world of hurt if Ms. Betty had thumbs.

Tall, dark and hadsome

Smushfaces got the run of bark park this morning. It was Stella, Gunther, Betty and Mr. Wilson

That is until Cole, who felt lonely playing by his lonesome in the big dog section, came to join the smushfaces....

Betty is practicing her cat moves, thinking it'll intimidate Cole

Gunther is in butt sniffing heaven. If only he could reach Cole's butt...

Gunther and Stella checking out the long snout on Cole.

Cole, yea we know Mr. Wilson still has his nuggets. They're coming' off on Monday. Until then, he's a little strange. If ya wanna play in the small dog section, ya gotta put up with him.

Don't feel bad Cole, Stella's heart belongs to Brutus. You're definitely a handsome dude, but she only has eyes for her bootielicious Frenchie.

Ooo la la Betty... We love to see you making new friends! But we don't think Cole appreciates your farts as much as you think he does.

Happy Weekend!
Stella, Gunther and Betty
