Keepin warm with Captain Buzz & Chattin with Brutus

We had fun hangin' with dad while mom was going with El Guapo to meet his family. We like it better when everyone is together though, so we're super happy mom is home! She hasn't put all her traveln' stuff away yet, so we're keepin an eye on her. It's pretty cold, so we're gonna keep tabs from the command center...

While she was gone, a package arrived for me from my buddy Hank. He's the bomb, ya gotta check out his blog!  Dad showed me the box, but wouldn't let me open it!  He said I had to wait until mom got home so she could see the look on my face. So not fair...  All this time Stella has been bogarting the really cool toys. So my pal Hank promised to send something just for me and now I haffta wait for mom to get home!

So after makin me wait forever, behold what could possibly be the coolest squeaky toy for a guy ever!

Check out where the squeaky fart sounds come out!!!

Stella tried to look all cute and convince mom she should get to play with Captain Buzz.

Talk to the paw Stella girl, this here is a my toy!

The only reason Stella left me alone to bond with Captain Buzz is because she got on the computer to chat with her boyfriend Brutus. Blech. I'm so sick of hearing her go on and on about how Brutus does agility, Brutus does this, Brutus does that, blah blah blah. Check out the Frenchie for yerself if ya want. Personally, I havta admit he's kinda cool for a bulldog, but please don't ever let Stella know I said that.

She gets a little testy when I spy on her checking out Brutus' blog... BOL!

We're supposed to go Christmas tree shoppin tonite. Then, mom said she got a call from Roxy's foster mom who said Roxy likes to 'un-decorate' the tree. Hmmm, sure hope this doesn't throw a wrench in our decorating plans! Mom said we'd at least get a small tree to put up high so this Roxy character doesn't snack on our Christmas ornaments.  I wonder if I should hide Captain Buzz before she get's here!!!

Snorts out to all my friends!

El Guapo's trip to Hawaii a total Success! (Except that we miss him terribly!)

El Guapo is now with his family in Kahului, Hawaii.

The little man and I left Morro Bay at 2:30 a.m. to drive 4 hours to the airport, and it was COLD! So cold and so early that I could not get Guapo to poop.

I had nightmares of Guapo taking a squat either in the ticketing line or worse on the plane!

So, right before my wonderful husband jumped back in bed with Stella and Gunther he had these parting words... "Well honey, I guess you'll just have to stop in a couple hours when you get down to Ventura".

Gee, thanks.

On our way down to Ventura, I happened to see a shooting star and of course my wish was that everything would go smoothly for me and El Guapo. To my dismay though, he still wouldn't poop at the half way point to the airport and time was running out.

We got the car parked. Shuttled over to Los Angeles Airport and then stood at the ticket counter FOREVER while the ticketing agent made sure he didn't lose his job over letting Guapo sit with me in the cabin during the flight to Hawaii. Because Hawaii has very strict quarantine laws, pets usually have to be shipped with baggage. I had all of his necessary documentation and finally after speaking with a supervisor we were issued our boarding pass. And... with a few minutes to spare for a poop.  But, Guapo will not poop before it's time and it wasn't time. ARG!

After getting through ticketing, security and the gate agents with El Guapo we finally made it to our seats on the plane. The flight attendants of course thought he was so cute. But I thought, let's see how cute you think he is when he has to take a dump at 12,000 feet...

I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by Guapo. He slept the entire 5 hour flight to Honolulu curled up in my lap. A couple snorts and farts here and there, but otherwise very uneventful.

After landing in Honolulu, we were escorted from the plane to the quarantine station and within 15 minutes Guapo was officially a Hawaiian resident. I decided to walk him back to the terminal to catch our next flight to Maui so he could relieve himself. He finally pooped. I guess he decided the grass was finally warm enough to squat in.

Guapo wasn't too thrilled about getting on another airplane. But, after a short 40 minute flight, he got to see his dad. His name is Scott.

His mom Andrea couldn't be at the airport because she was taking care of his brother Bryson and...

sister Avalon.

Guapo's family is thrilled to have him.

I took a redeye from Maui to Los Angeles and I'm grateful it was dark because I did a lot of weeping. I'm gonna miss that little guy...

Packed and Ready to Go!

Well folks, after 6 months of livin' the life in Morro Bay, CA El Guapo is just hours away from joining his family in Maui, Hawaii.

We got one of those Flip Video thingies so hopefully I get it figured out on the 5 hour plane ride and will have some video to post!

Gunther: "Dude, I heard chicks wear coconut shells on their boobs in Hawaii!!"

El Guapo has accumulated quite a bit of stuff in 6 months..

No matter what, he's still not 100% sure about the 'jail bag'. At least he get's to fly with me and not in baggage. Try convincing him of that.

Gunther not too happy about letting me pack one of his tennis balls for Guapo, even though he has at least 20 floating around the house.

Guapo got the memo to take a nap since we're leaving at 2:30 a.m. Poor thing was so afraid we'd leave his tennis ball behind, he fell asleep with it in his mouth... LOL!

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that our trip to Hawaii goes smoothly.

Special Carrier my Butt

El Guapo here. Lot's of fuss going on right now. Did ja pack this, did ja remember that? Blah blah blah. All this stress is harshin' my mellow.

I went with my ma today on all her errands to 'test out' my special carrier. First we stopped at the docs to say goodbye to everyone and pick up all my papers for my new doc in Maui. Lot's of leaky peeps there. Ma promised she would call them when we got to Maui so they knew we made it safe. Then we stopped at the bank, the post office and then the hair salon. That's when I had to sit in the so called special carrier.

Frankly, I'm not finding anything too special about it. Ma said I gotta get used to it because it's a 5 hour flight to Hawaii. I'd rather sit in her lap, but she said I'm to squirmy and once we get to the airport, I'm not allowed to walk through the airport until we get through quarantine. For cryin' out loud! What if I gotta pee?

I think I'm just gonna go hide in the laundry basket, maybe they won't find me...

Gunther & Guapo's Bromance

Just a few days from now, El Guapo will be with his forever family. And dang it! While we weren't payin' attention, we all fell madly in love with him.

Specially Gunther

And El Guapo with Gunther

Shucks, I think he's pretty neat too...

The wonderful thing is El Guapo will be with his family who will spoil him rotten. His mom stays home with his human brother and sister. And when dad isn't working, they all caravan to the beach and lounge under the shade of the palm trees, El Guapo included. His dad has been calling everyday too, so excited to see his boy! We're happy for them. But couldn't they live a little closer? This is gonna make play dates really hard!

Vala the flying Dog

At first, I thought mom was pulling our leg (with Gunther, that's not hard to do). A flying dog? But then she explained that Vala flies with her dad in his airplane. And she has her own pink headset so the noise doesn't bother her ears. Mom got a picture of Vala on her most recent flight.

Vala was rescued from a shelter by her dad. She's kinda shy and doesn't take kindly to strangers, so we haven't been formally introduced yet. But mom says she talks about us to Vala all the time when she's doing counting work for Vala's dad.

Yipee for Vala! From the cement floors of a shelter to soaring like an eagle in her dads airplane! Couldn't get any better than that...

TGIF

We hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Mom spent all day cooking. We weren't allowed in the kitchen when dad had to pull the turkey out of the oven to baste it, which was every half hour, so pretty much the entire day. Hmpf.

After the turkey was done, mom & dad packed up some of our stuffies and our gates and we went up to Paso Robles to see our giant family. There are 8 human cousins now! OMG! We didn't get a moments rest.

Guapo is so tired. Instead of picking out a stuffie to play with, he just decided to nap inside the toy box today...

Stella didn't even raise an eyebrow when asked if she wanted a cookie.

Daddy...hold me.

Take it easy my friends,
Gunther
