He's not a Pug, but we won't hold it against him.

Ma was browsing Craigslist when she came across an ad for a 7 month old Mini Aussie. He was being given away because he was "too shy" and "unmanageable". Huh?! We know that it's hard to compare to the perfectness of a pug, but c'mon... givin' up on your best buddy because he's shy?
Ma called the person and after talking for a few minutes, told them she was gonna come get him.

Whoa nelly, where's he supposed to live? Not with us. He has a snout and no tail. It just won't work....

Not to worry, ma already arranged for him to live with our good human friends, John & Shari who already have 2 Aussies.

After poor no tail was driven 6 hours to our part of the state, ma and John & Shari picked him up, then drove him another 4 hours to his new home. He was pretty grouchy and nervous. He even pee peed on himself in his travel crate. Ma said she tried to talk to him and tell him it was gonna be okay, but she couldn't even call him by his name because no one had bothered to name him. Ma was very worried it was gonna be a long night for John and Shari.

After they got no tail home and out of the travel crate he ate and met the other Aussies, Lilly and Indy. Within an hour he turned into a completely different dog. He played and rolled over for belly rubs and lot's of love.

Ma explained that 'Brownie' (that's his name now) lived in a crate most of the time with some guy that had issues. The creep used to torment poor Brownie through the crate and scare him. Now he gets to go to the doggie spa and go to work with his dad. He's still really insecure, but John and Shari are really patient and helping him overcome the neglect he suffered.

Eh, we gotta admit he's kinda cute...

Ma got an update from Brownie's new mom and dad. He's doing great! But he has an infection in his pee pee from his old people feeding him dry cat food. Tomorrow he goes to the doc to get to get his pee pee fixed and to get tutored.

Your Momma is a very wonderful person. Hurray for her. You know he does look kinda cute in a non-pug way.

Lovely post...and Brownie is pretty darn cute. Even if he isn't a pug. ;-)

Glad that Brownie found a good home! He is adorable (for a snouted dog). :)
